Every piece in our Cactus Collection furniture has been crafted with care using a combination of, kiln-dried insigne pine from the wet regions of southern Chile, and genuine Quisco cactus inlay planks from northern Chile's Atacama Desert. The death of cactus wood takes years, and during this period its exposure to sun, wind and sand gives the cactus wood its diverse character and color tones. This complex natural design looks beautiful with the simple grains and colors of the pine, and the styling will compliment all rustic, western, southwestern and lodge décor themes. All iron and hardware is hand-forged with a distressed, rust-colored finish, and all construction is tongue and groove. The pine wood is finished in a natural-colored stain, and the cactus inlay planks are polished to accentuate their natural patterns. A polyurethane coating is applied at the end of the manufacturing process to further protect and beautify each piece.
